Day Seven

Today is Day Seven, so I get my white-blood-cell promoting shot at 4 p.m. They say my counts should begin to go up some time this coming weekend. Bring it on. My platelets are way down, too, so I'll also be getting platelets today. Despite the low counts, I actually feel pretty good. I've been for a walk this morning, and I hope to go for one or two more. That's all for today. Gotta go watch the inauguration.
It's a beautiful day!

  2. Ahoy, Special Agent Grimalkin!
Hope this finds you in good spirits. Speaking of which, the cocktail experimentation down at the lab continues, and this past week saw us map the structure of Rob Roys, Manhattans, Pink Gin, Tequila Sour, Gin Swizzles, Dark & Stormy, and Tie Me to the Bedpost (an honest to gosh mixed drink, I kid you not). Further research is ongoing, and the crew wanted to tell you as well that the new Shiner "Commemorator" (numbered 100 on the label, the last in the series of special anniversary brews) is one excellent brewski, a rich doppel bock type. We'll set a supply aside for you in the booze bunker for when your mission is accomplished.

Sending you peace and love from fabulous Hippies a-Go-Go, the lounge where Flower Power still rules.
